NAACLS Extends its Early Registration Fee Deadline for its Fall 2018 Workshop in Chicago

NAACLS is extending its early registration fee deadline for the “Demystifying NAACLS’ Accreditation/Approval Processes Workshop,” to be held on November 2, 2018, from 7:30am-4:00pm in Chicago, Illinois
Register by October 1, 2018 to receive a discount!
Following are the new Registration Fees:
$350/person (EARLY REGISTRATION by 10/1/18)
$375/person (FINAL REGISTRATION BETWEEN 10/2/18 and 10/19/18
NAACLS can only accept 80 registrations for this workshop.
The workshop will be held at the Renaissance Suites Chicago O’Hare, 8500 W. Bryn Mawr Avenue, Chicago, IL 60631. The workshop will include a continental breakfast and lunch.
The workshop will be presented by Sally Pestana, MT(ASCP), and Cecelia W. Landin, EdD, MLS(ASCP)CM.
Ms. Pestana is Professor of Health Sciences, University of Hawaii, Kapiolani Community College in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was a member of the NAACLS Programs Approval Review Committee (PARC) since 2009. She served as PARC Vice Chair from 2011-2014, PARC Chair from 2014-2017. She is currently a member of the NAACLS Review Committee for Accredited Programs (RCAP).
Dr. Landin is Clinical Assistant Professor, Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She served as a member of NAACLS’ Clinical Laboratory Sciences Programs Review Committee (CLSPRC) for four years and as a member of the Review Committee for Accredited Programs (RCAP) for four years. She served as Vice Chair of the RCAP from 2012-2013.
Upon completion of the workshop, and with the opportunity to discuss questions, the participant should be able to:
- Describe the purpose and philosophy of the NAACLS accreditation/approval outcomes-based model
- Describe the elements of a successful accreditation/approval review.
- Describe each of the accreditation/approval standards
- Utilize the Standards Compliance Guide and other NAACLS resources to write clear complete accreditation/approval Self-Study Reports.
